It's been more than thirty years since bill and Ted traveled through time. Now they have grown up and have children, but still remain friends and continue to play in the band. But if earlier the characters were rockers, now they perform at weddings and bar mitzvahs. When friends learn that a global catastrophe is approaching, which can only be stopped by writing the greatest song in the history of music, they realize that they will not be able to meet the deadline, so bill and Ted decide to move to the future and steal the song from themselves.
